Tina Maze wins silver in Maribor

 

Following her second place in the giant slalom in Are, Tina Maze doubled her success before a home audience in Maribor where she landed second place in slalom.

Her timing was perfect. Tina Maze reserved her first podium place in slalom for Maribor, her home territory. Ranking ninth in the first run, she successfully worked her way up to second place in a daring second run, spurred on by a euphoric home audience who cheered their local matador on to run best time.

The race was won by the Austrian, Kathrin Zettel, while Maria Riesch from Germany came in third.
