Mike Schmid wins the World Cup overall placement!

15.03.10

Once again Mike Schmid stands on top of the ski cross podium. In the World Cup race in Meiringen-Hasliberg he lands an outstanding victory over brand colleague Audun Gronvold.

Thanks to this success Mike Schmid celebrates an early victory in the overall World Cup. Stöckli celebrates with him and is proud of both this renewed double victory just like the day before in Grindelwald and also of the large crystal ball that goes to a Stöckli athlete. In the wake of Vancouver medals, this marks another entry into Stöckli history books...

Ashleigh McIvor and Katrin Müller just a hairbreadth away from the podium

The Stöckli ladies were not as lucky:  Katrin Müller made it up to the final run but a fall put her back into an ungrateful fourth place. The Canadian Ashleigh McIvor came in fifth and lost points in the overall World Cup standings, trailing behind Ophelie David by only 73 points.

The last race of the season is scheduled for Saturday, March 20th in Sierra Nevada (E).
